An idyllic sunset and a little bit of music between friends is disrupted by the surprise arrival of a visitor from parts unknown. Oddly, he appears to be just another a hare—aside from his spaceship and green fur, that is! The old tortoise that lives in the meadow quickly discovers that saving his home from the visitor’s plans will require some quick action, and challenges the star-flung hare to a race in space! And how does a tortoise get into space? Well, this is a tortoise with a few surprises of his own!

 

The Tortoise and the Hare: Space Race is an imaginative retake on Aesop’s classic fable. It travels a space-age path to tell the story of focused perseverance over procrastination and pride.
